Violin Adventure Spoils: Charles Buthod circa 1880.
March 19, 2014

First up from our adventures overseas is this stunning French violin made by Chales Buthod. This violin is a stereotypical Mirecourt type with that golden orange varnish and a glorious single piece flamed maple back with neat edgework and intricately inlaid purfling.
This violin has a big sound making it perfect for use in orchestras.
